Mystic Springs Airstream Park
This little campground, tucked into the woods, turned out to be a wonderful gathering place for the Argosy Adventure Argonauts [as I've started calling us...]
And we sure enjoyed our long weekend when
Craig graciously cooked fish for us one evening[yum!]
And we all shared [crock] pots of soup together another night -
This was wonderful as we had quite the cold spell that evening...
I shared a little craft project one afternoon and we made these cute little wooden pumpkins to set on a shelf during the fall...
Y'all know I love fall!
But it was cool to see the Christmas lights going up in the small town of Atmore when we went out to eat one evening... [There wasn't as much thrifty shopping as I'd hoped, but maybe I didn't know where to look...]
Then we were mighty thankful to have the awesome gathering room to hang out in and watch ballgames, put puzzles together, sing karaoke, ... craft, etc.
But, you know what?
We mostly hung out at the campground and visited together -
and made these [Aldi's] refrigerator pumpkin rolls one morning to share.
I love that camping can bring together such a varied group of people who share a common love of the outdoors... and sharing your favorite camping gadget...lol...
[Mine is the tire pressure monitor that we can look at on the phone... ]
Also - the campground reminded me of every youth camp I ever attended as a teenager... and WOW - camellias were blooming already!
And OF COURSE - everyone loves seeing other Argosy Airstream Campers and the way each person makes it their own!
that I 'shopped' up a bit with an artistic twist...
We had campers from Georgia...
The Atlanta area as well as south Georgia...
North Carolina
Louisiana
Both from the New Orleans area...
And Alabama... [what I call] South Alabama
And us - from North Alabama!
It was a really fun weekend!
Mystic Springs Airstream Park
My take: Secluded and woodsy... a great place for a group camp...
Clean bathrooms [NO SHOWERS.]
Good internet and cell service.
