a favorite place of ours -
So... we've been to Honeycomb a couple of times in the last month or so -
and I love it... not enough to try and get a seasonal spot... but it's always so relaxing to wake up to this view as I step outside of #AnnieLeetheArgosy !
We just had a relaxing time camping with some friends we haven't had time to visit with in a while... we loved gathering together each evening for a nice campfire...
And, omgoodness... watching the moon rise each night -
JUST BEAUTIFUL.
I also enjoyed cooking on my Blackstone [you know I did!]
Although I might have to admit that this 22 inch is bit BIG to lug around camping...time will tell... This is is yummy ravioli stir fry...
And of course I cooked breakfast each morning...
[Notice that the screen house had to be taken down due to THE WIND... but even after our 'neighbors' found it rolling down the road, all was well...lol...]
I also cooked our hobo meals on it too -
Love our little table set up - we often talk about parring down some things.. but we enjoy having a real table for our meals so much...
[oh, and peanut butter cookies too - yum!]
I think I'm finally getting the hang of what temperature it needs to be on to bake...
I added a few things into the fall porch decor -
A new rug, sunflowers in cowboy boots, and a little wooden pumpkin...
Just a little welcome at the door...
We shopped around town a bit, had breakfast out one morning,
but mostly just enjoyed the cooler weather and great views...
and visiting with friends, of course.
These are the only crazy photos I got of all of us together...
But it was just such a relaxing - no agenda - nice time to be together in nature...
We actually went back to Honeycomb a few weeks later
[hoping to see some real color on those trees]
and enjoyed a couple of nights...
Here's the deal - I love to camp with friends, for sure... but sometimes I just need time alone [preferably by the water of some sort] to just be... if that even makes sense.
We're looking forward to sharing the beauty of North Alabama with our vintage friends next October [2022!!!!] when we host The Sweetest Little Camping Rally at Honeycomb [look at our cute logo on my leggings above!]
but I'm sure we'll be back at Honeycomb before then!
