Aishling the Airstream Update No. 78

 General Butler State Park
Carrolton, Kentucky
From the internets: "This hilltop resort that sits where the the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers meet honors a prominent military family. Named for General William Orlando Butler, the family's military fame spanned from Colonial times through the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War and the Civil War." This is truly a resort with a beautiful lodge, campsites and cabins...
 Let's see if I can do a quick re-cap -
We were only there for one night, but un-hitched and drove around the park - loved the overlook area, u built by the CCC back in the day...
My friend AI did this photo for me.
-- soft water color --
[Original, for reference -]
We also drove through the small down-town area... and across the Ohio River and back... nice campground just off the interstate. Large pavilion near the water, mini-golf, kayaks for rent...
Good internet, level sites.
No review of bath houses since we used our own.

A good overnight spot on our way to Ohio.
 Two agreements:
Always use our bike helmets
Un-hitch  so one of us could drive to doctor, if needed.
[We're not getting younger -]
