Aishling the Airstream Update No. 059

 ... at Gulf State Park.
We enjoyed a few days post CanOpener over at The Gulf
[as our Mobile friends used to say...]

As always, Craig worked his reservation magic and got one of our favorite sites on the canal up front so we had easy access to the trails... We enjoy the privacy of a [somewhat] secluded area where we can watch for alligators - lol.

It was little too cool for them to be out and about this week -
But those winter sunsets were spectacular!

Some friends were there the first couple of days and
we enjoyed a meal with them before they headed home.
And y'all know we enjoy a winter beach -
but it was cold!
So no hanging out there...

And really - for us - it's all about the trails at Gulf State Park -
We rode all over - and love being close to the beach mouse trail so we could ride the highway overpass to the pavilion. So Cool.
And Golden Hour is the best!

We rode trails everyday - even in the cold...
[Pardon the unedited screenshot - ha]
We especially enjoy going to the back of the park and riding the Gulf Oak Ridge Trail - it's such an unexpected ravine with a cool overlook!
One day we got a wild-hair to ride to Doc's for a late lunch -
We took the back way and it was about 8 miles out...

And YUM.
Delicious - as always.
They really DO have the best shrimp on The Gulf
... but the crab claws are pretty good eatin' too!

It was cold and near dusk as we made our back so we took the shortest path....
missing alligator ally and the Beach Mouse trail... And you can see that we take out time.
[Going about 7- 9 mph with pedal assist.]

It's a favorite way to spend a morning or afternoon!
I'm so glad we got these bikes a couple of years ago!

#AishlingtheAirstream
looking mighty fine at Gulf State Park -
We're already looking forward to next time!
