York, Pennsylvania
There's SO MUCH I could share
about our time at International -
I'm going to try and just to give you a highlight or two from each day --
But this is still photo-heavy --
There was almost 1,000 airstreams at this event.
And we were parked TIGHT.
There was a *little* space in front of our camper,
but were back to back with friends.
[photo: be real - showing forward and backward at the same time.]
But we loved our breezy 'patio' and
could fit most of our friends in when we worked at it - HA.
Friends [and seeing different parts of the country]
are the best part of International -
There were themed parties -
... so this is us for the 60s VAC Party that was a lot of fun.
[VAC Members had a pre-party 'dinner'.]
And there was a casino night where you could gamble chips for prizes... Not as fun to me bc it was LOUD, there was only a few gaming tables and they were CROWDED...
I wish I'd thought to bring dominoes to play...
Still, we cleaned up good in our thrift store duds. lol
both all-about-airstream and crafty and fun...
So it was fun to meet up with friends and attend together.
We did a screen-printed hand towel!
And this year we got a wild hair and decided to actually present one on the basics of hosting a rally at the local level - we're not experts, but we do enjoy a good rally!
We were surprised to have almost 70 people attend.
And LOVED that the convention app had a spot where attendees could look at the slides I'd uploaded [and download a copy if they wanted to keep them.]
Technology is pretty cool.
Craig and I took a morning to go out and ride part of
The Heritage Rail Trail... so cool -
I had a little panic when we ended up downtown ON busy city streets without good signage.... But LOVED it all the same! Our bikes are perfect for us - and the bike rack Craig built for easy access is AWESOME!!!
We had to ride off [yes, we pedal - ha]
the ice cream we were eating almost daily -
[Wally berets are still a thing, 70 years later...]
There were food trucks RIGHT OUTSIDE the main meeting space, so of course we had to use our Wally Bucks [included in registration] to try the local flavors!
Friends from all over the country [and Canada!] gather at this event
so a few of us who camp together in the south gathered up for a photo!
Oh the places those Foley RV cups have traveled! The organized camp fires were GREAT - and as usual, the VAC went above and beyond - Love our [not so] little group of vintage friends!
But it was also nice to linger by our little campfire set-up and visit in front of our campers as well! Two things: it was cool enough for a blanket... and I loved that church nearby that chimed on the hour. #AishlingtheAirstream
We were up and out of there early
because our Great American Road Trip had a few more stops -
