I'll admit

that this book was a slow start for me -
but once I got into the story it was filled with wonderful characters and some surprises that kept me guessing until the end.

Moonberry Lake
Cora Matthews is the main character who is at a cross roads in her life when she inherits the family lodge after the death of her mother.
As she begins to pull her life back together, she meets new and wonderful [sometimes wacky] friends who give her support both physically and emotionally.
Sam and Ben [and yes, Joseph] are important parts of the story... but I love that it's the women in her life who nurture and guide her as she sorts out the past, finds her footing, and looks forward to her future.
Favorite character? Kitty, by far. I am blessed to have had many aunts fulfill this role in my own life. All the women in her life were wonderful... but I have to say Widgy was a favorite too! HOw many of have [or NEED] a Widgy in our lives?!
A favorite quote [there are many!]:
"None of us came here to stay. There's a time to be born and a time to die.
Our purpose is to leave an imprint of love behind."
[Kitty, of course.]
Note: I was given a copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes.
All opinions are my own.
If you have strong women in your life [or if you want a short tutorial on how to be one,] I think you'll enjoy reading this book!
