is a wonderful book - and while it's set in an Amish community the characters are facing many of the same issues that everyone does, regardless of the community we grew up in. This is the 2nd book in the Pinecraft series and let's us learn more about Betsy as she returns to Pinecraft, Florida with her 'life list.' She has had health struggles her entire life and as a result has led an excessively sheltered life due to her parents not wanting her to need medical attention. But she's bold and ready to live life on her own terms as she conquers her list.
And how wonderful that she meets August, who has his own parent issues, and is now living with an aunt and uncle. He encourages her to tackle each item on her list and they check many of them off together.
I loved how Betsy inspired others to consider their own ideas of the ordinary, wonderful things they want to do in life.
We should all consider a 'life list' and get out there and find joy in life!
