I love to read

 Elizabeth Goddard's books - and
Cold Night of Day
includes everything I expected.

This book has mystery, action, and, of course, a bit of romance as we join Police Chief Autumn Long in her small town in Alaska ... where it seems everyone know everyone... And immediately knows when there are outsiders in town...

Chief Long is fighting to keep her job, due some dissension from a local prominent figure who wanted his nephew to have it,
when Grier Brenner shows up in town...
about the same time as a murder spree begins to happen...
and the action begins.

Despite Grier's desire to fade into the void Alaska offers,
he becomes the town's local hero
until it's discovered he has his own secrets to hide...
Together they hope to solve not only the murders, but also his secrets...

and the underlying cause of it all: the mystery surrounding
the death of Autumn's mother when she was just a child.
This book is so well -written, and kept me guessing every page along the way....

And I really enjoyed seeing that the characters had a real-life relationship with God -
And y'all know I'm already looking for the book 2 in the series [ Missing in Alaska.]
NOTE: I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes.
ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.
