My word for the year is - LOOK

 as in - Look Up.
Look around at all the goodness surrounding me -
Look for what God has for me...

And I have to share that I'm loving all the ways
God has been putting this word before me this year...
[and y'all know I'm LOOKING for it!]
-- A friend in my small group made these key chains for all of us -
LIVING LOOKING UP -  love it!
So when Illustrated Faith announced their
100 Days of Looking Up
I knew I had to join in - and if you look at anything on social media
[#IF_100DaysofLookingUp ]
you'll see that everyone has a different take on how they plan to use this kit...
Me? -- I've decided to use a few different colors for the backgrounds and paint the jars with the colors of the sky [using watercolors] then add a quote each day from my ever-growing collection of quotes... some are faith based, some are not... but most all are what I'd consider inspirational...
Then I'm going to document some things each day that I see or that I'm grateful / thankful for  - [And I'm prepping pages a week or more ahead of time so I don't have to wait for paint to dry every day... ha]
Soooo... I'm all ready for this 100 day challenge and they - Illustrated Faith -  announce their 'summer camp' plans: Truth Camp - digging into the book of John.
[One of my favorite books in the Bible.]

So I had to figure out a way to combine these two into one project book...
[I know I will never follow through if I have to carry around several different journals...]
So, I'm simply adding the devotional / lessons from Truth Camp [#IF_TruthCamp ] into my 100 Days journal every ten days or so ...
[I think there will be eight [or so] lessons after we complete part two.]
My plan [RIGHT NOW -ha] is to add a fold out page at the beginning to highlight a favorite verse and put my 'badge' on... I'm also adding a photo of our camper to the devotional booklet...

The inside of the fold out is used for journaling / answering the questions from the booklet... I plan to use the same numbered format for each week... And I added some of the camp themed goodies from the kit.

The devotional booklet is taped right into the journal I'm using... you can see that it's just a bit bigger on the top of the page, but I'm leaving it that way... no worries...

I'm using the page after the booklet for faith art journaling
[however I want to do it... and I'm sure it'll be different each week...]
The next few pages are the 100 Days of Looking Up Project... and so on...
I'm looking forward to spending time with the Lord each morning
[with my new-to-me view - have I shared
that I cleaned up and moved a book shelf for this?!]
while being creative and spending time in His Word.
I've gathered everything together in my favorite little green metal box so it's easy to access [and put away from the cats - ha.]
I plan to share what I've done each Monday throughout the summer.
