Annie Lee the Argosy No. 055

The last stop on our Florida
vaycay was Top Sail Hill in Santa Rosa Beach.

And y'all know we LOVE Top Sail Hill!
And let me pause and say - even though the temps were cooler during our days here,
we could still feel the lure of the snowbirds...

I mean - THE FLOWERS WERE BLOOMING already!
So, we'd signed up for Can Opener - an airstream event
- over a year ago...
Those spots go FAST, y'all.
More than 100 airstreams gathered together!
It was fun to see old friends and visit with new friends too!
And while there were a lot of people from the southeastern US there,
there was also people from as far away as the west coast!
But y'all know we've gotta see some sunsets
and sunrises when we're at The Gulf -

And the Santa Rosa Beach area has some of the best!
[I'll admit that we drove down to a public beach for this sunrise - bc it was a chilly morning and we wanted to enjoy it from the warmth of our vehicle. HA.]
And, it's no secret that we like love the food at The Gulf...
We enjoyed breakfast here... with a few strawberry angels to go... and while one of our favorite places [Elmo's] was closed for the season, we enjoyed meals at Stinky's, Bayou Bill's [the BEST gumbo evah!] and Acme Oyster house in Destin where I had the Fish Pontchaartrain and IT WAS DELICIOUS.
There was also a chili potluck with the group... and of course,
we ate at the camper too...
[Loving how the fairy lights look from the outside.*]
Craig hosted a little [Southern] tomato sandwich treat during an afternoon activity. The comments ranged from, "WHAT ON EARTH?" to "Oh my, this reminds me of my grandmother..." I loved it -

And while the days were cool...
we sure enjoyed the isolated beaches of Top Sail Hill...

We could ride our scooters down there in a flash!
[And side note: we explored lots of trails on our scooters!]
There's just nothing like the sugar white beaches of The Gulf
that we've been enjoying our entire lives!
But alas, all good things must come to an end... so we had to pack it up and head north...
Here's a little sneak peek of our packing...
The painting protects our TV... and again... I'm loving the fairy lights that we had to put up out of necessity* - I've gotta configure a way to keep them up without them being in the way of opening the curtains...
I'll leave you with some photos I grabbed from others
that show a really beautiful side of Top Sail Hill...
These are NOT my photos...
We've seen deer in the park...
just not on the beach like this... cool!

*Our solar - that powers all of the lights inside had an issue -
but that's resolved as I type this -
YAY CRAIG <-- he's my hero!
