Many of you know

 that I like to play around with art...

 

particularly in an art journal where I can truly play 

[because I can hide away all the things I don't feel like sharing - lol...]

{And I drew that giraffe without tracing, btw.}

This year...I've signed up for Life Book 2022 

and hope to share some things with you 

on a  more regular basis... 

So here's some of the pages I did in January -

In my art journal you will find

 

all the Life Book lessons,

[I drew that fox without tracing too!!]

 

some emphasis on my one little word,

 art based on faith devotionals

[this one is from Illustrated Faith -]

 

as well as my friends at Meeting Him in the Margins 

who share wonderful inspiration,

and some just whatever 'strikes my fancy' stuff...

If you want to become more comfortable with art 

 

[of any kind - mine is mostly always a little

mixed media and wonky and whimsical]

I encourage you to get / make an art journal 

 

- a place where you can PLAY with all types of art...

[I'd never created a stained glass window look - ]

 

and a place where you can make mistakes...

[I mean, I COULD go back and correct that... 

but who's going to see it, right?]

Also - find a class you can take... 

it doesn't have to be a year long commitment like Life Book 

Although I HIGHLY recommend it - 

But find something that will give you new ideas and new techniques to try...

But most importantly - 

Just get those supplies out and play!

You'll be surprise how much your art changes over time.
