Annie Lee the Argosy Update No. 051

Happy New Year!
2022
Praying it is filled with health and goodness for each of you!

We sure missed seeing the snow!
Seriously!
But while y'all were enjoying enduring it
We were in Florida...
It wasn't always necessarily SUNNY - but was warmer than home.
[But rest assured - we've been at Disney in January when it was 26*.]
Here's a quick re-cap of #AnnieLeetheArgosy 's Florida Adventure.
We traveled about 1640 miles in less than two weeks.
We spent a quick overnight in Perry, GA on the way down...
And just as we got to the campground there was a little hail and swirly wind storm...
[the real tornadoes were north of us a bit...]

Our first stop was a vintage camping event in Salt Springs, FL
where we met up with some camping buddies to visit
and ring in the new year.
The rain cleared out and it was WONDERFUL.
The springs were beautiful
[and warm!]
Our next stop was Disney's Ft. Wilderness!
It was so fun to take our time and explore
without going into the parks at all...
And y'all know we love this campground
that we've been camping at since 1994!
We even extended a day -
which was great in so many ways!
Next stop - Manatee Springs
A Florida State Park
There is no [zero/nada/ NONE] cell service...
[+ we had a little camper issue...]
so we were glad we'd cancelled a day and only had one overnight.
Next we enjoyed the drive up Hwy 98 to the panhandle...
And who can resist that freshly picked citrus?!
We set up for a few days at Top Sail Hill for
The Can Opener event -
Over 120 airstreams!
AND WE LOVE THE PRISTINE BEACH!
[a winter beach is always nice to me...
and despite the little cold front, it was still nice enough to enjoy...]
I love seeing Annie Lee's hippie / fairy lights through the windows...
I may have to adapt something like this to stay
once the other issues are worked out... lol
Alas... all good things must come to an end...
and here she is all packed up for travel home...
[rest assured, there's plenty of 'outdoor' stuff on our beds too...]
But WAIT.
We took a little detour over to The Shoals
and ended up in a campground right behind the Alabama Music Hall of Fame
that was very convenient and had one of the best bath houses I've ever been in.
It was great to visit with family and catch up with friends!
So - just wanted to give you a quick overview of how our new year started...
We're settling back into our routine here at home...
LOL
[I think they missed us.]
I hope to write an individual post
about each area / campground we were in soon -
[so you can look forward to that. Ha.]
Happy New Year!
