We enjoyed the Vintage Airstream Rally up at Cedars of Lebanon State Park
the weekend before the yearly International Airstream Rally...
It was so cool to see so many older airstreams - and a few Argosys too!
And Craig enjoyed meeting a few people he's been talking with about vintage airstreams / argosys on-line for the past year or so...
We enjoyed a few meals together, a concert, an informational breakfast...
but mostly just seeing the other vintage trailers!
[We did take the time to drive over to the International Rally - and WOW - so many airstreams!! - So fun to see, but we just don't have the time to camp for a week or more right now... or if we really want to camp in field like this... BUT - there are lots of fun activities that we're sure we would enjoy!]
We've always wanted to camp at this campground just east of Nashville...
We ended up in a spot in a different area from the vintage group ... but there were airstreams throughout the campground as many had come to the area a few days prior to the International event.[And honestly, I can't always tell if an airstream is old or new -- unless it's shiny and NEW-NEW, ha --]
Our take: Beautiful, well-maintained campground with a woodsy feel.
One section is a little more updated than the others, but it was all good.
Due to a kerfuffle, we ended up a site on the end of the road [ no camper behind us!] And it did have some traffic as people rounded the curve coming and going from their sites... also, a group camp is just past the trees and we heard them out and about having fun, doing night hikes, for a bit... Bathrooms were c lean and neat. Good internet and cell service.
We'd definitely camp here again.
