This may be a repeat...

but I've recently printed A TON of photos to scrapbook and
I wanted to share my process for sorting them all..
.
First off - most of my photos are taken on my phone so I do my best to edit them on the phone prior to uploading to my computer...
[and honestly, there are times when I send them to print directly from my phone.]
Once uploaded to my computer, I do my best to sort my photos into files based on
year - month - and then maybe a sub-folder for each event...
Then I pull everything I want to print over to an album in Walgreens...
[Again - I name these [Walgreens] folders by year - month the photos were TAKEN.]
I review each photo in the order and remove the duplicates,
edit the ones where portions may be 'cut-off', etc.
Then I print -
[and even with ALL OF THAT I end up with photos that don't go in my scrapbooks...]
Once printed, I sort the photos into stacks based on
time /event, topics I want to scrap... stories I want to tell...
I write each topic on the outside of the box or envelope they came in...
As I complete the scrapbook page I mark it off....
if there are leftover photos they might be sent to a relative...
and, if not, then they go into a stack to file in box by person / place/ thing...
This is what works for me - it keeps me from printing duplicates [most of the time - ha.]
And it helps me keep track of the stories I want to tell...
And I get SO MUCH more completed if I'm chatting with others who share the joy of scrapbooking and creating! I'll share some of my pages in a minute - but want to say that I got ALL THE PHOTOS [from our trip to the PNW] in that far right box into pocket pages! YAY.
Next step will be journaling and embellishments!

After I did that I just randomly selected photos from the labels
and created the pages I wanted to do in no specific order.
[These are all 2019 photos and will go in albums labeled
Places We Go / All About Us / People We Love - Friends  or Family]
So here's a few of the more traditional pages I completed -
This one shows several summer outings we enjoyed in 2019 -
Note - I trimmed myself out of one photo and added it to that top right photo - ha...
Also - journal bullets were created on the computer [the joy of cropping at home!] and the smaller photos [2x3] were created with the project life app before sending to print!
Y'all know I love to mix pages of ALL SIZES in my scrapbooks,
so I'm loving these next few pages...
This is an easy way to document some fun, silly photos we had with the kiddos...
And I think we sometimes need that fun in order to get a good photo or two. Ha.

This next one has a smaller page out front as well as
photos that fold out / open up to show journaling or more photos underneath...
... our last vintage event with sweet #LottieScotty...
Our last time at RiverBend ...
[Also the weekend Craig sealed the deal for #AnnieLeetheArgosy!]
Creating our own lavender wreath was so fun
[and smells SO wonderful!]
So it had to have a page of its own!
I'm trying hard to use ALL THE STUFF I have here at homebefore I buy anything new...
So, another joy of attending a zoom crop / cropping from home is that I easily have access to everything... and can spread it out as much as I want.
These are cases labeled Spring, Summer, and Winter...
Love that I have space to dig it all out
AND USE IT.
And I'm loving my new [to me] couch that I can store it all under when it's not in use!
So, there you go -
An update on my scrapbook process...
Would love to hear what your process might be -- ?
