Well, now it's time to get down and dirty -
Our Lottie has some problems - like many her age...
Mainly, a leaky roof -
Secondly, no air - which is really essential for about 9 out of 12 months a year if you're camping in the south... and thirdly, poor wiring...
So Craig started with tearing out the ceiling that was damaged.
Luckily, it's only about two sections of it..
And except for the insulation and other debris falling on him, it came out pretty easily -
It was rotted after all. ha.
While it's open, he pulled new wire and added some lights and electrical boxes where we wanted them - both 12 v and 20 v. [He'll correct me if I'm wrong - ]
Yay for new electrical outlets!!
He did a great job pulling wires and getting things right where we wanted them.
Concurrently [I always think of that as a social work term...] he replaced the roof fan with a super duper --??-- fan. It was fun to have Matt home to help us out a bit -
[I'm loving the little 'awning' over the front windows too!]
Even though we weren't ready to do a full installation, we had to give it a go to see what it will look like - I LOVE the clear / smokey cover that will let light in from above!
And we tested it out - wow!
It really does pull the air around!
I know we're going to enjoy having it!
