This is the sewing machine I learned to sew on. Truly. It was my grandmother's machine, and always set in the 'back bedroom,' and she allowed me to sew on it at a very early age. I had to pump the pedal myself to make it go. I've been told it was HER grandmother's at one time, but I've not done in research regarding age, etc. It's dear to me.[Note: that is the OLD bathroom you see....]

Oh Judy, that is wonderful ! I can remember my Granny's treadle machine -- sure wish I had it ! I always found it so fascinating when I was little.
I love the whole vignette in that corner - my kinda style !
