So the *word* this week is [God's] Leading [or 'guidance' as I used some also.] A verse that spoke to me: Numbers 9:23, "At the command of the Lord they camped, and at the command of the Lord they set out - they kept to the Lord's charge." My favorite Bible is also a 'Life Application Study' Bible and the commentary for this verse follows, "The Israelites traveled and camped as God guided. When you follow God's guidance you know you are where God wants you, whether you're moving or staying in one place. -- YOU ARE PHYSICALLY SOMEWHERE RIGHT NOW. Instead of praying, 'God, what do you want me to do next?', ask, 'God, what do you want me to do while I'm right here?' Direction from God isn't just for your next big move. He has a purpose in placing you where you are right now. Begin to understand God's purpose for your life by discovering what He wants you to know. "
This has spoken to me today- I've known for many months that God wants some things to change with our Faith Based Pages company and I've struggled with the - "what's next?, what's the next step?" part of it all. Now I know that I just need to be still and stay where I am and wait on God's leading. He'll tell us what He wants us to do - in His timing. Tonight at church we ended with 'Have Thine Own Way Lord' and I thought about how we enjoyed watching the clay as it was molded at the potter's wheel while in Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge last month - and how I really do want to be molded by the Potter's hands much like this bowl we bought while there -
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Let's stop rushing to what God has planned for us next and instead, wait, enjoy the present and let Him use us right here, where we are. He'll lead us to the next step in His perfect timing...I encourage you to listen to His plans for you...

Visiting your blog for the second time today. Thanks for this post. It really spoke to me as I am involved in two major circumstances that are totally rocking my world. I also get caught up in the what to do next but am starting to see that is not from the Lord. He wants me to just be - with Him. Thanks for the good word!
Timely reminder for me today. TFS
One of my favorite hymns for sure. And wow I love the perspective of asking Lord what would he have me do where I am. Thanks for this devotion!
