OH how I love fall!

It's my favorite time of year!
And I'm kind of [not so] secretly happy that
I retired during this season of the year!
I firmly believe that if we look for the magic of whatever season we are in then
we will see the good in life.
On the other hand - if we seek out what is wrong around us then
that is what we see as well --
I've loved this slower season in life that the pandemic has brought upon us -
I'm not discrediting ALL the hard things we have had to deal with as life has changed so drastically for many of us since March...
But slowing down a bit has been good for my soul...
Before the pandemic, y'all know my life was often lived at a whirlwind pace as we were almost constantly on the go with work travel, fun travel, family and friends.
But when all of that came screeching to a halt in March I found that I kind of [really] love lingering over coffee and conversation out on the patio each morning...
I'm enjoying REALLY taking the time to see how the plants in our yard change each month - the first buds of spring, the blooms of summer...

And now the glorious colors of fall.
I love it all!
Even that golden rod that I have no idea where it came from or how it got my yard!
And the hydrangea that was definitely late for the summer party!
Our leaves have just barely started falling here at house, but the KittyLou and I have had some fun bringing in the fall decor already!
[And even got a bit trendy with our
black plaid rug {{DG}} and fall rug {{Aldi's}} on the front porch...]

The truth is - Craig and I have quite a few fall camping events planned and I need to up my game for fall decorations at a few of them [there's a contest, y'all!]
So I pulled it all out of the attic and did a re-boot on what will work and what can be re-purposed, etc. And... I did a fair amount of study of pinterest. HA.

I'm happy with this floral arrangement I created that will definitely be used while camping... but also on the sideboard in the dining room all throughout the fall season... The star pumpkins on the front porch[that I've used for over 15 years now] will also stay out until it's time for Christmas decorations.
I think it's a great way to celebrate autumn without all the halloweeny thrown in...
But if you know me at all, you know I love good clean Halloween fun too.
Stay tuned for some things I have planned for THAT.
lol
