Y'all know I love Bible Journaling

It's just a great way for me to get into scriptures and have time with The Lord -
So I'm looking forward to having a bit more unhurried time to dig in and be creative -
but I have to admit that these past few weeks when I've been in my art room ['studio'- ? ]
I've still had that familiar feeling of
"I need to rush through this because I should be doing something else."..
and then I remind myself that I've got time... glorious TIME...
Time to get my chores done...
Time to work on projects that are new and old on my 'to-do' list...
Time to linger over meals and conversation...

Time to spend with God without feeling rushed..
And time to create as much as I want...

[And I'll admit I can lost in creativity and the time gets away from me -
just like it does when I have my nose in a book...lol]
{{So maybe I should do a blog post on time...ha}}

Recently I've done a study called
Holy Roar by Chris Tomlin and Darren Whitehead

Missy Brown in Knoxville [Meeting Him in the Margins on FB]
led us through this study -
The study was wonderful and talked about the meaning of different words used for praise in the scriptures - as well as highlighting a song that exemplifies each word.
Missy did a wonderful job leading us through these words of praise in Psalms!
As we were finishing up the last session [on zoom!] she mentioned wanting to record each of the seven words in our Bible Journaling -
and I immediately thought of how I had put the names of God large and strong in the margins of my Bible [so that I could find them easily...]
so I did the same with these 7 words of praise -
Although you can see here that some of the margins were taken already - with sermon notes or creativity - so I had to put a couple of 'tip-ins' taped to the page...

I love that I can easily see these words of praise with a quick definition and scripture references next to them! And y'all - this was SO easy to do -
I just put a nice little watercolor wash on the page - used my heat gun to quickly dry it... then used a good ole crayola marker to write the word of praise... then a [.03] pen to outline and journal. I did them all in one evening.
[Note: you can see where my pages bleed through or overlap and certainly aren't 'perfect' by any standard... but I believe Bible journaling should be FOR YOU - as you worship and spend time meditating on the scriptures with God.]
I hope this encourages you today -
