Summer Time!

What does it mean to you?
Well, I made a Bucket List -
I've made them before - a way to plan a few things to do during the warmer months and with the hope of living a bit more intentionally...
And of course it looks a bit different this year -
no concerts in the park for us...
no lazy river at the wave pool...
no fishing trips with friends...
or lavender wreath parties... and
no ice cream from Peach Park while traveling for work...
BUT!!!
We were talking the other night about how we might sometimes grieve [and wish] for the life we had before C19, however ---
we recognize that there are good things all around us -
and being all together in one city is a 'gift' we won't take for granted -
[Obviously, not my photo - ]
So we're choosing to live intentionally...we're taking the time to look for a comet - and the Hubble satellite - and the Space Station on a star filled, buggy night...
We're working together on hot projects
[like rolling the remains of this tree to the street -]
We're enjoying s'mores -
even when they're made over the coals in the grill
leftover from cooking our steak...
And we're taking the time to see a [pop-up] drive-in movie on occasion... and a couple of Broadway shows... and concerts... and yes, we're catching up with the Great British Baking Show on-line!
And we're loving being outside - even in the heat
[because we can retreat to the AC when needed - ha ]
And seeing nature first hand - critters and flowers and fruits!

... like growing our own tomato.
One.
So far.
ha.
And planning tie-dye projects
and meals outside with our pod are both on the ole Bucket List
as well as

roasting the perfect marshmallow,
and home made ice cream, and
fire works,
grilled burgers and brats, and
a summer art journal project
[and fun SUMMER scrapbook CAMP -]
And of course, our parking lot picnics every few weeks with friends have been so good for the soul...
and even better now that we've found a secret hide-a-way from the weather - lol because I love a good thunderstorm!
[again, not my photo]

Our lightning bugs were LATE to show up this year due to the long lingering spring - but they put on their magical show each evening!

We've done more summer-time camping than we've done in years - partly because #AnnieLeetheArgosy is cozy and cool - and partly because.
Just because.
Ha.
We've enjoyed more than a few campfires...

and hobo meals
...all while social distancing...
And yep, we're even being intentional about sitting outside for lunch when the weather is nice.
There's so much we can do to enjoy life - even in these days of doing our best to keep ourselves and others safe...
So what's on your bucket list?
