Welcome to the Fiskateers Spring Blog Hop!

You should have come from:

Jennifer Ashley 6361 www.asecretvintage.blogspot.com

If you are hopping into the middle of our blog hop and you are a Fiskateer, you can start here www.fiskateers.com.

If you are thinking a “Fiskawhat?”, you should know that Fiskateers (www.fiskateers.com) is an online community of craftiness (paper crafts, sewing, gardening, etc.) all based around our love and appreciation of Fiskars (think orange-handled scissors to start). There is a blog, gallery, and message board led by four lovely Lead Fiskateers who along with the other Fiskateers are fabulous at getting creativity flowing via chats, challenges, on-line crops, and interviews with other crafty celebrities.

Here's my project - a favorite photo I've been saving for 'just the right' paper [do you do that too?] Most of the paper & embellishments are from Close to My Heart and I also used embellishments from Sassafrass and Simple Stories.

I loooooooooooooooooove Fiskars Boarder Punches! I used "notebook" and "double bubble" on this layout - so fun! And of course a little ode to Fiskateers with orange!

And because I can't leave 'well-enough' alone, and because I LOVE to outline with black pens I took with me when I traveled for work and ended up with this:

- Yes, you can see some wayward strokes - and I may replace the paper in those areas, or I may go back and doodle with the bigger point pen [I used sharpie double point --fine and ultra-fine-- for this.]And the tag turned sideways during travel and I like it like that so it stayed and was outlined.[And WOW! Look at the color difference a sunny day makes in the photo! The first one is probably more true to life-] This layout will go in my 'Just Because' album.

Thanks so much for stopping by! We’ll be hopping all weekend , March 24th and 25th to welcome spring!

I invite you to come back & participate in my

OM[old stuff]Giveaway [see tab above]!

Again, thanks for hopping by… next stop is: Tracy M 6773 www.fiskarscraft.typepad.com

Love the LO Judy and your doodling...I hate when my black permanent pen goes "wayward" when I'm trying to carefully doodle. Thanks for participating in the blog hop!

Judy, your layout, both before and after, are wonderful! I must say though that I am in love with the after and all the doodles/outlining and tilted tag! The more saturated colors are very nice but I was kinda digging the grayer tones on the first LO--very mysterious feeling with those empty boats! Lovely photography either way!

Love that picture and what you did with it. I love the border punches too.

Beautiful layouts Judy!!!

Love both versions and think that you did a wonderful job with your doodling :)

I have some papers saved for "that special project" and hope to get working on my scrapbooking with them later this year ... cards have been taking up all my crafty time but would love to get back to the good old 12x12's.

I love your layout Judy and I love that you have a "just because" album. I need to do that too.

Thank you for showing us the two different looks. I think the outlining is amazing and I can't wait to show my Mom the difference it makes. But the very best part of this layout is the photo. It is gorgeous!

Judy,

I am never disappointed when I come to your blog! I have so many pictures to scrap, I can't say that I am saving any of them for a spcial paper to come along. However, I do have a paper stackr that I bought because so many of the pages will be perfect for scrapbooking pictures of my sister and me...as soon as I remember that special place I put them. For some reason they are not with the rest of my pictures.

I appreciate how you showed us the before and after of outlining with the black pen. I like to do the outlining too, but thought I was the only one who had the problem of my pen jumping off track when ir is not supposed to =)
