The Prince and the Prodigal, by Jill Eileen Smith shows us how
life may have been lived in approximately 1839BC.
But it's so, so much more than that.
If you've read the Old Testament at all you're familiar with Joseph and the jealousy of his brothers... Jill Eileen Smith lets us walk along side them in their daily lives in this book. And it's pretty cool to get to know them this way...It's a wonderful story of forgiveness and trusting God as we see the hurt Joseph feels, the anguish of some of his brothers...And ultimately the forgiveness and reuniting of a family.
This not a spoiler bc it's all there in the Bible ... and y'all know it,
but the author just makes it more real and relatable.
If you love Bible history, I think you'll enjoy it!
