Hello from beautiful Mt. Juliet, Tennessee!
It was a cool and rainy weekend as we camped with
The Music City Airstream Club.
In fact - it rained THE ENTIRE WEEKEND.
But
it was still fun to get together with this group of camping friends
that we're still getting to know! When we joined the WBCCI
[Wally Byam Caravan Club International]
we
opted to be in the Nashville group since we enjoy camping up in
Tennessee so much. They're a wonderful group - but our schedule hasn't
allowed us to camp with them as much as we'd like... we're hoping to go
to more events in 2022.
During this rally we were at Cedar Creek Campground - a corps of engineer campground near Mt. Juliet, TN.
[and thankful for our awning!]
We
enjoyed a few dinners with the group, exploring the area [it's been a
while since we've been to Mt. Juliet / Hermitage area...]
[Still LOVING how we have room to spread out a little -]
We
set up our outdoor decor for a bit of 'fall' - and I'm thrilled with
the pop of color from our yellow Coleman cooler that Craig refurbished!
[Gotta
say that I'm DONE with those straw-like mats, though - they're fine for
at home, but omgoodness... they shed all over the place and I'm so
tired of cleaning it all up...lol...TRUTH.]
Getting to know the other club members and
this sunset were the highlights of the weekend...
so
Craig made the executive decision [thankfully] to contact Honeycomb
[our next camping spot] and see if we could just take #AnnieLeetheArgosy there
directly [instead of pulling her up into our water sodden yard for 3
days.
[See the rocket at one of our welcome centers...]
Cedar Creek Campground
My take: It's pretty and has water views of Old Hickory Lake.
Sites
are roomy with grass and trees... Some sites are updated, others not so
much, but even those would be nice to be in if it were dry. Bath houses
were clean and neat. Internet / Cell service was good.
We'd visit here again.
