Annie Lee the Argosy Update No.080

 On the Verge at Vogel
State Park

A Deep South Caravans Rally
Craig and i enjoy hosting this rally that started as a vintage gathering
but welcomes anyone who wants to camp with us.
There are some pretty cute little canned hams in this group!
We've been gathering in the Hiawassee, Georgia
area for the past few years, but ventured over to Blairsville this year -
And it's beautiful y'all.
Here's some photos - in no particular order -
The early morning breakfast club -
Some of these friends get up WAY earlier than me...
It was fun to start the day together!

We always do a fun little duckie race at this rally...
Each site puts their number on a duck and Craig tosses them in the creek...

First one to the finish line wins the rally fee for next year !
A fun way to pass a hot afternoon...
I always enjoy seeing how vintage camper friends help each other out... A few years back a group of guys helped Craig put our awning on so he was more than willing to help someone with theirs. [I was mostly sitting with the supervisors...lol]

We usually have an evening pot-luck meal and these sweet friends treat us with home-made ice cream - DEE-lish!

Craig and Peter usually make pancakes and sausage one morning as well.
Gathering around meals is a great way to share and visit together!

Craig always does a short devotional on Sunday morning
before everyone breaks down camp -
It's a way for us to share God's love with those we camp with -

And this year it happened to be on our 40th wedding anniversary!
[Y'all will remember that we celebrated with that Alaskan Cruise...]
SO THANKFUL for my this man in my life!
We're sure enjoying our @AnnieLeetheArgosy !
Loving our new spa steps!

And the new little bookcase
I picked up at HobbyLobby for 80%off!
Campground review -
Vogel State Park
The staff / rangers were so wonderful to work with as we planned this group event!! Vogel sets right outside Blairsville, Georgia - and it's a fun little town to explore!
The campground and park is beautiful!!!
Internet and Cell service is sparse...
Bathrooms are good -
It's not really the best for a rally as the campsites are in pods, on hills, and not easily walk-able. The pavilion worked for us, but if we'd had rain it would have been difficult to gather all together since this is such a big group.
It's always fun to get together with our mostly vintage friends!
And we're already looking forward to next year!
