I've loved

'getting to know' some faith artists these last few weeks 

 

while completing the

 IF-MarkMaker 2023 

over at Illustrated faith - 

 

I highlighted their [current] favorite palette

in each page I created...

 

And enjoyed the learning about how each one

sets aside time to create...

I tried to incorporate the style of art they 

shared that they are currently enjoying...

 

It was so fun to learn more about these 'beloved' girls 

that are similar to the ones I first created when 

I dove right in to my 'art journey' -

And I was inspired to pull out my own 'artist statement'

that I wrote more than a few years ago 

when I was showing some of my stuff around town -

Nice to see that it still holds true...

Hearing / reading about how each artist spends time 

with Our Creator, while creating was inspirational to me...

 

And I stepped outside my comfort zone and actually 

used my sewing machine to make a little 'patch' for one of my pages.

And I love it.

 

I loved ending this devotional with scripture that speaks to us about being the light - 

We are God's light shining in our dark world...

He's been speaking this truth to me

in so many ways - and from so many sources-  this month.

So let's do it- 

Let's 

BE HIS LIGHT for others -
