Here's my Week 4

of the study on John from Illustrated Faith
I enjoy combining a little creativity with my time with God while studying His Word...
And inevitably, a praise song comes to my mind... see above -
So. Here's a quick re-cap of this devotional study.
[I would say 'this weeks' - but I'm doing each study every ten days or so to space it all out in my summer / 100 Days of Looking Up journal.]
I've shared before that I'm taping a little fold out page in my journal so I'll have plenty of room to the answer the questions at the end of the devotional.
I'm embellishing this little flap with things from the Illustrated faith kit -
always including the 'patch' and a favorite verse.
When I open it up I have plenty of room to answer the questions.
My process: I use sticky notes to block off each area as I'm answering the questions... then go back and add the number stamps [from retro hip mama] and underline the journaling, free-style [ie: wonky.] I'm also adding some die cuts, etc to the page [although this one looks like it might need a bit more, lol.]
You can see that the devotional is also taped in to my journal...
and I'm adding a photo from one of our camping excursions to it.
On the page after the devotional I'm just doing anything
that strikes my fancy at the time...
could be painting... could be photos...
could be a combination of the two like I did here...
[I'm also taping in a small 4x4 ish card where I'm journaling about what Jesus has meant to me throughout my life - but I'll share more on that later...]
I'm loving how this little summer gratitude / devotional journal
is coming together for 2022!
And I'd love hear about what
you're up to in this season of your life!
