Facing the Dawn

by Cynthia Ruchti is as heartbreaking as it is heart warming.

The struggle , and maybe guilt, that Mara felt regarding her husband's prolonged absence due to his humanitarian work is completely understandable.. and just when it seemed things couldn't be any worse... her world begins to truly crumble around her...

...until two sweet friends begin to stand with her...
I especially loved when, at one point, she said something about slipping off the rock
[instead of standing on The Rock]
and both friends said in unison - WE WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN -
Such a great story of friendship, God's redemption and presence... loss...
and yes, LIFE.
If you love seeing God work His goodness in the midst of tragedy, then you will love this book...
Disclaimer: If you've recently experienced great loss this could be a hard book to read... but the goodness of God is evident throughout and can soothe our souls.
NOTE: I received a copy of this book from the publisher [Revell / Baker Publishing]
for review purposes.
