I love a good

fiction book that has life lessons included!
Susie Finkbeiner did a wonderful job transporting us back to a time
of carefree days mixed with the tragedy of the Vietnam war
that took family members away from us [thankfully mine returned home -]
We get to know Annie and her family in a personal way -
and I love this quote about her her and her best friend,
"The best part of having a kindred was knowing that it little mattered how silly I was. I would be loved regardless - liked even - for being just the way I was."
May we all have enduring friendships like this!
Note: I was given a copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes -
ALL opinions are my own.
