When I was asked

to do a couple of classes for Bible Journaling at the LifeWay Store here in town we discussed doing three verses, and I [selfishly] asked that they choose at least one out of the Old Testament since the group I meet with each month likes to dig into those books a little more...
Micah 5:2 was one of the verses chosen.
"But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Too little to be among the clans of Judah,
From you One will go forth to be the ruler in Israel.
His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity."

I can't say enough how much I love the prophesies of Jesus' birth hundreds of years before it happened. I love that there is history that Jesus lived, died, and rose again. Not just in the Bible... After all our time is kept by the most significant event in the history of the world.
I love it.
This page was inspired by some Christmas cards I see each year...
I forgot to take progress photos - but it really is just a simple series of squares and rectangles, with a few half circles and a hershey's kiss on top...
You can do it!
The girls in class did such a great job!
Some things to watch for:
Be sure and shade a little darker on one side...
slant the shadows in on the doorways...
draw wonky stars all over!
Notice the little dots are very close up next to the buildings and spread out as they move away - this gives it a bit more feeling of night...
Have fun!
Add color - one of the gals put bright blue on some of her rooftop edges
and it was beautiful!
Remember you can go to Instagram @faithbasedpages and see more!
Oh, and you can see that I used a verse from O Little Town of Bethlehem
but I think Sandy Patty's song. Bethlehem Morning would also be beautiful!
 Merry Christmas!

I am glad you put your website on a page you shared at Illustrated Faith Journaling. Love this illustration.
