Last week we had a fun little family

outing for a steam engine ride.

 This was a special treat we did with each of our boys when they turned five - 

a steam engine ride with just mom and dad...

It brought back lots of memories for us

[they probably have little recollection at all - ha]

so it was fun to share a similar trip with them again.

 

They DO, however, remember pitting pennies 

on the train tracks with Granddaddy Joe  -

 It was fun to have lunch on the train  - 
It was cool to think about those 'back in the day' 
who traveled like this often...

 My sweetheart did all the planning - and it was perfect! 
I love going on adventures with all of us together!
