Blog Hops are so fun!

And this one is 'All About Me'

EDITED: THE Winner of the book is
Roberta: Mother of 3 has left a new comment on your post "Blog Hops are so fun!":
CONGRATS!!

Your email has been sent to The Brave Girls' Club!
I hope you enjoy your book as much as I do!

I think it's a topic that many of us have a difficult time with when we think about preserving our memories. So I have a few projects to share -
But first, you should have come from:
Shelley
Shelley did a WONDERFUL job pulling this blog hop together
and I'm so glad she chose this topic!
Sharing parts of ourselves in our art is sometimes hard to do isn't it? But don't we want to leave a little legacy of who we are for our children and all that come after us? Just think how fun it is to find tidbits of our gr-parents' lives! So, I have several projects I wanted to share - and while they don't always have a photo of me - they do say a lot about who I am as a person - things I hope my kids and family will remember about me when they look back on our lives...

The first is my inspiration board - it's filled with lots of thoughts and ideas
to help ME be a better ME.
This is based on a project from a class I took over at The Brave Girls Club -
Melody and Kathy have such inspirational classes that really help each of us dig a little deeper into who we are and what we want out of life -
something we all need to do from time to time!
Go check them out here.

Their on-line class, Soul Restoration, is really just that - a restoring of our souls - they provide all the tools needed to dig in deep and artfully work through the issues that are bogging us down and keeping us from being our best.
Soul Restoration really helped me to see that the bad things in my life [and we all have them] were just a part of my life. They are not my whole life and I don't have to let them define me.
Although, I've known for years - they are a part of me
and how I deal with them makes me, well, ME.
The people I've met [in the forums] along the way
make The Brave Girls Club an extra joy!
[And you know who you are girlies!]
I encourage you to check out The Brave Girls Club a
nd get started on your own journey!
Soul Restoration II takes you to the next level -
helps you work through steps to help you meet your goals in life.
[Kind of like doing a case plan designed just for you - lol...
remember - I'm a social worker -]
 My inspiration board is part of the goal setting process;
it's not perfect [neither am I]
- but I love it - it hangs near my desk at work.
[Or I should say - leans or props -
since we're still not allowed to HANG anything in the new office - lol.]
It helps me see the things that are important to me and
reminds me to take the time for those things in my life.
This next project is one I did a few years ago and
really just shows what the foundation of my life is -
It's a 12x12 scrapbook page that says what I believe.
[Anyone who reads my blog knows that I am a person of faith -]
This photo is a little wonky -
it's straight in real life. Ha.
I printed the photo 8x10 and trimmed it out,
hand cut the title, and added the journal strips and brads -
It's based on an advertisement I saw
[crazy, I know - but some of my favorite layouts are based on magazine adv.]
One more --

Completely inspired by The Brave Girls -
Just me, taking time for me -
[papers from Webster's Pages; tag from Prima packaging - lol]
And this last one is a TOTAL SCRAPLIFT from a layout I saw in an old
Autumn Leaves Idea Book -

Only, I did it on a 10x10 canvas.
It's also a few years old -
Love it - I do hope we were able to teach our boys a love like this [I Cor. 13.]
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
It's always fun to have new visitors!
And I have an extra special giftie for you today --
Melody and Kathy
and Brave Girls Club
have been very generous in offering to send one of my readers their very own copy of
A Little Bird Told Me , volume one

 LOVE THIS BOOK!!
It's a compilation of some of the Little Bird quotes I've been receiving in my in-box for a while now! - Quotes that touch my heart and help me look for the good in life - and... take that next step when things are tough [and we all have tough times, don't we?]
Simply leave a comment on this post
WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
before midnight [central x] November 30th
to be eligible to win.
The winner will be randomly chosen and posted on this blog.
The book will be sent directly to you from
The Brave Girls Club.
[THANKS SO MUCH MELODY AND KATHY!!]
I hope you enjoyed your time with me - now it's on to ---
Sandy

And here's the complete list for you just in case you get lost along the way:

Love your projects. It seems like you had fun making them. I did a challenge about me a few months back and did a mini album. It was very enjoyable to make. Gets you thinking a bit about what the most important things to you. My mini album ended up having family members, my dog, places I've visited and a lots of pictures of me doing different things.
