Here’s little something we’ve had in our house for a while now. It’s a favorite of mine -

I love old windows – something about them reminds me of my grandmother’s back porch with removable windows where we would spend hours playing. So when I found this one I knew I wanted to use it in the house somehow – I cleaned it up a bit [no re-painting] and I love that I was able to take some “everyday” photos of my boys and have black and white copies enlarged to put in each area. [These were color photos and were done at copy store – before I had a scanner, for just a dollar or so per copy.] It hangs in the hallway between their bedrooms.

Directly over the sewing machine that I first learned to sew on [it belonged to my great – great grandmother & was in my grandmother’s home. Guess they thought I couldn’t sew over my fingers too much since there was no electricity involved.]
