Aishling the Airstream Update No. 011

 Coaches Corner RV Park
Tuscaloosa, Alabama

From their website: Located in Tuscaloosa, near Cribbs Mill creek. All sites have full hook-ups and WiFi. No tent camping available. Park is bordered on 2 sides by creeks. The University of Alabama campus is 1.7 miles from Coaches Corner. City Sports complex nearby.  Sports season campers get season passes that allow them to have an RV camping spot all season. Football season is season passes only. Bryant Denny Stadium is 1.8 miles from Coaches Corner.
After leaving Paducah, our Magic Myrtle [navigator] took us through rural Kentucky and Tennessee on our way to North Alabama. I think she directed us AWAY from the eclipse traffic on the major highways. We stayed overnight with Craig's mother before heading south to our next rally...

We didn't have any reservations for a half-way stop when we headed out the next day and we realized the place we'd wanted to try has terrible cell service and not much wi-fi... and we need at least one or the other...

So we had to consider other places...
There was some weather expected  for the evening... mostly some strong winds...
so we re-considered staying in a woodsy state park also...

Let's be honest - our camper is not parked under a cover at home, so we know there's the possibility of damage... but I don't want to risk a tree falling on it
WITH ME IN IT.
Just sayin'.
So after another nice rural drive
[and discussion of our need for a PAPER map, because Myrtle can take us on SOME SCENIC routes, y'all]
we opted to stay in this VERY urban campground in Tuscaloosa.
We stopped for dinner on our way into town and didn't even unhook once we arrived. It was very clean and neat -
And the sunny [cotton candy] clouds made some beautiful photos!
Thankful for full-hook ups, a comfortable shower in our #AishlingtheAirstream , plenty of room for relaxing inside,
slow mornings...and our sweet life in our little home away from home
[on wheels.]
