Pinecraft, Florida!
and visiting with old friends
while I learned more about Lilly's secret hopes.
[This book is third in a series.]
As always, Shelley Shepard Gray created characters with depth and fun personalities. I so enjoy how she portrays the Amish community that is intentional set aside from the world we live in, yet simultaneously living in it.
Lily leaves home to start a new life in Florida [where two of her friends have love and a future.] She is brave to jump into the unknown, yet she knows she needs to find her place in the world.
Lilly's self-esteem holds her back from being truly open with those around her and she must reconcile her past in order to live fully in the present and the future.
I
have to admit, the author kept me guessing a bit about where she would end up
in her life! In the end, conversations that needed to be held were out
in the open and I think Lilly finally understood just how loved she
really was.
