Lord ALfred the Airstream 007

Spring Hill Park
COE
near Ft. Smith Arkansas
Such a beautiful campground!
Our site backed up to a small inlet of water that was quiet and beautiful.
[There were family homes across the water,
but I guess the water was still a bit cool for hoo-rahing...lol]
We enjoyed our meal outdoors with a great view -
And had a great time talking about all the adventures we've had with our boys...
This was a favorite 'special treat' when we traveled back in the day!
We weren't the only ones there...
It was almost full, but the
sites are big and spacious!
We enjoyed breakfast the next morning [it was cool!]
sitting outside #LordAlfredtheAirstream...
Then we drove in to Ft. Smith...
We found and abandoned circus wheel...
[this area is used for special events these days, we think...]
 Pretty cool mural.. .
And we found the trolley car... but couldn't take a ride
because there was a school group ready to go...
And we had the BEST burger and onion rings at
Ed Walker's Drive in ! Really delicious!!
And possibly a gas station in a previous life...
And then we were truly on our way to Oklahoma!
YeeHaw -
SpringHill Park - COE
Barling, Arkansas
Population 4,964
VERY clean and neat.
Large sites.
NOT SECURE - anyone could come in at anytime
and boat ramp shared the bath house.
Good internet and cell service
Bath rooms were clean -
Note: as with many COE campgrounds we've stayed at - it is off the beaten path a bit... but with the calm, serine view and $12 / night - it's worth the drive!
