- Lynn Blackburn's books are always an excellent read.
This book is full of excitement as Special Agent Tessa Reed and her equally special cohorts step up to protect the president during a visit to Raleigh, North Carolina.
The main plot is intriguing, but the sub plot just may be the main plot in my opinion...
Blackburn weaves in many of the social issues of today in such a way that we can see that they are real and we should all be on guard... but also ready to help a friend when they fall.
I loved seeing characters I've met previously stand united as Tess faces situations from her past that she's not always talked about... except with her closest friend, ally, and love - [very, very] special agent Zane Thacker.
And of course - I LOVED reading as this group of friends support each other, openly pray together and for each other as they faced unknown threats each and every day...

The icing on the cake [or should I say doughnut, ha] was the ending
as Zane and Tess *finally* have that heart-to-heart
we all knew they needed to have...
A perfect ending.
