Annie Lee the Argsoy Update No. 076

A few weeks ago we attended our
Music City Airstream Club's yearly maintenance rally
at Pickwick Landing State Park near Savannah, TN .
[Time is set aside to talk all things airstream...]
We were fair-weather campers and drove over a day after it started
due to some expected weather...
and actually ended up driving straight into some
pretty strong winds that came after the rain...
Trees were down everywhere and here we are on a fb 'news' photo of lights out in Tuscumbia as we drove through...
Once we got set up we had a great time.
This is a great group of folks and we always
enjoy being with them when we can!
[Photos in no particular order -]

Craig has fished over that was through the years and knew of a wonderful restaurant for fish - and y'all know I'm always up for eating home breaded onion rings - DEELISH.
Our Airstream hosts always have a fun crafty project for the ladies so enjoyed making nesting balls to hang outside for birds to pull things to use in their nests in a few weeks.

Mine ended up being a more of a decor piece since I don't won't to intentionally lure birds close , becasue, hey - cats... I loved the project and making the base out of kudzu vines! So cool!

Usually on camp weekends we go out to eat as a group
and have a pot luck dinner all together on another night....
And BINGO happens some time during the weekend!
[If there's no pavilion or club house, we just set up outdoors!]

And Craig is a wonderful BINGO 'caller'...
This year we played 'dirty' BINGO where prizes could be stolen... and some people did a good job making sure their prize was not noticeable  after they won, lol...
Our hosts also set up a visit with Hockaday Homemade Brooms...
And it was so cool to watch him make a broom
from his home grown broom corn!!

Of course - I had to buy one!
And I love my multi-color 'hairdresser' broom that had a bit longer handle and now hangs, ready-to-use in the kitchen like a decoration.

It was a wonderful weekend of being with friends and enjoying nature
with our #AnnieLeetheArgosy !
Y'all know I LOVE spring in the south!

We had  perfect spring camping temps
to gather around a camp fire to visit.

We've been told this state park is slated to be updated
early next year - and it will be extra nice once they have level pads [and hopefully also areas around the campsite too.]

Pickwick Landing State Park
Savannah, TN
Beautiful area in Southwest TN...
Sites are not level, no pavilion...
Good internet and cell service
Clean updated bathrooms.
We would go back if we were in the area....
