Annie Lee the Argosy Update No.072

The Brickyard KOA
Americas, Georgia
Okay - what started out as an Argosy Adventures weekend
ended up including the Region 6 Vintage Airstream Club
... with Region 3 invited too, since, hey it WAS in Georgia...

And we had 6 Argosy trailers,
a whole bunch of folks from Region 3 Airstream Club,
and buddies in airstreams and a silver streak.
It was a great weekend....
even with Hurricane Nicole blowing up from the coast - ha.
We were thankful to have this entire cottage as our clubhouse!
Debra and Charlie are THE BEST hosts!
Their campground is one of the cleanest places we have ever camped!
And they fed us a baked potato bar one night - YUM.
We also had a potluck chili night -
just what we needed on this rainy weekend...

And it cleared up enough for these two
to prepare pancakes and sausage for everyone one morning.

Yes - we surely enjoyed the unlimited use of the clubhouse...
where enjoyed our meals ...
and played LEFT - RIGHT - CENTER...
as well as flamingo dominoes - lol -

We used it for presentations,
and cookie decorating too!
And the fire pit area was was WONDERFUL!
Large enough for everyone to gather around with seating provided!
We also enjoyed visiting downtown
Americus Georgia while we were in the area...
It's a sweet little town that has several good restaurants.
We had a group gather for Mexican one evening...

The area surrounding the campground was just beautiful
and so well maintained.

The sites - while grassy - were level and drained
well with all the rain we had during our stay...
And despite Hurricane Nicole, we had a lovely time.
We will definitely be back.
Clean bathrooms,
Well-kept grounds, sufficient internet...
