Annie Lee the Argosy Update No. 071

Tupelo, Mississippi
Trace State Park
This is a beautiful campground that we've visited before...
This time we camped with our Music City Airstream buddies...
And #LordAlfredtheAirstream came along so friends could camp in it -
Their Lucy was in the shop and, hey, they were the hosts - lol

I'm happy to report that I drove him all the way there and back.
And did just fine.
Thank you - Thank you very much...
As you can see, this is a beautiful campground [just outside downtown Tupelo]
with almost every site right on the water...
And there's just something 'extra' relaxing
about camping with a water view, dontcha think?

And - don't give up on those late golden hour / sunset photos
just because you aren't facing west... sometimes the back light is just as pretty!
We enjoyed having a little free time to explore Tupelo a bit...
and found some tributes to the king of rock 'n roll...

Even had our photo taken with him - ha.
[Tried to find the yummy farm-to-table place
we'd eaten at a few years back...with no luck...]
But we mostly hung out at the campground reading,
and crafting, and football watching...
And eating some yummy meals... at our camper...
And with others...
Camping potlucks are always fun...
and when you're in Tupelo, you just never know who might show up!
Turns out it was a pretty wet and rainy weekend... we were awfully glad to have a club house to gather in... and paved sites so we get around without getting muddy...
We played some bingo, put together puzzles,
and just enjoyed visiting together -
And OF COURSE we gathered around the campfire!
We love campfire visiting!
Much thanks to Todd and Jill for
letting us bring our firepit up to your site!
Trace State Park -
Wonderful level sites -
Excellent internets -
Clean bathouses -
Close to town...
What more do you need?!
[We'll be there again!]
