Elysium Tide
Think "Dr. House combined with NCIS Hawaii" [tv shows]
and join Dr. Peter Chesterfield and Detective Lisa Kealoha
in their unlikely partnership to solve the murder of a young woman
he found while walking on the beach.
Author, James R. Hannibal , described it on his FB page like this,
"A dash of comedy, a serving of mystery, and a heap of danger."
So, yes!
The mystery in this story is so much more than a murder as the reader is given hints of other things happening on the island along the way.
This **IS** a great beach read,
if you're ready for something out of the ordinary!
The characters weave together seamlessly and I love how easily those who are Christ followers boldly talk with Dr. Chesterfield about how surrendering complete control to Christ is the only way to have peace in this world...
AND DON'T WE ALL HAVE CONTROL ISSUES?
The ending is good [of course!]
But kinda kept me hanging with the thought
there might be a squeal [or two] in the future... [I'm hoping!!]
Seriously - one of the best books by James R. Hannibal that I've read!
Note: I was given a copy of this book by the publishers
for review purposes.
ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.
