wonderful story of perseverance, love, and redemption.
In When the Meadow Blooms, Ann H Gabhart created believable characters that each have some struggle or heartache in their past, regardless of their
age...
and I loved getting to know each one of them...
And, yes... also learning a little more about 'real life' in the early 1900s
and the lifestyle some chose to live...
or the one that chose them due to circumstances and health...
If you go to her blog [here] you will find links to many of the interviews where she offers insight into developing this book...
[I love hearing how authors get ideas / develop their books - SUCH A GIFT.]
Of course, one of my favorites in the book was young Sienna who is full of curiosity and has a unique relationship with God's creation... I suspect she will grow up to be much like her Uncle Dirk who is a published writer.
But really, every character in the book pulls you into their world and the need to overcome the hard things that have happened in their lives... The author had a wonderful way of showing how God used His creation to heal
and bring each one back to Him...
This may be the first book I've read by Ann H Gabhart and I so enjoyed
reading her words! She effortlessly wove the belief that God is real and loving into her words
[and y'all know I believe that too!]
It's kinda neat to learn that I've probably read some
of her writings in Home Life, a magazine I've gotten at church for most of my life...
Go ahead and get your copy today - If you love historical stories full of struggle, perseverance, redemption, and, yes - love... then this one is for you!
NOTE: I was given a copy of this book from the publisher for review proposes.
