AH-ha - I am 'officially' old -
I've signed up for SSA and also for the Senior Center
[I tell people I've waited my whole life for this!]
Seriously - since moving to Madison County, oh so many years ago, I've worked with elderly and frail adult and I've seen first hand ALL THE FUN THINGS that well /active adults get to do at the Senior Center [and also how they serve those in need -] So it's been fun to attend some yoga classes there as I explore other things they offer... and they require everyone who enters to be vaccinated, so that provides calm for my anxious heart...
HA - I digress -
JULY
We staked our spot out early for a 10 pm fireworks show, then went and had some GOOD Vietnamese food - yum... and enjoyed visiting with friends until the show started - and it was a great way to celebrate our nation's birthday!
During my regular dental appointment we realized I had a filling falling out, so I had it repaired ... although, honestly - I think it's fallen out again - but I don't have pain, so I'm good with it. HA.
Y'all know we've traveled / camped a bit this month - and I've got to say we had unseasonably COOL temps for July throughout MOST of the month... we were able to snag an over night at Melton Hill near Lenoir City, TN for one night and love this spot down near the tent area...
Then we headed over to Jingle in July in Sevierville for the weekend. SO MANY cute campers decorated for Christmas!
I also continued attending Bible Study in person on Tuesday mornings - something I've always wanted to do.. and now I can [#retirement] - we did Tony Evan's Horizontal Jesus... about one-anothering well... and it was a good study with lots of good discussion in our group.
We joined the Vintage Airstream Group at Cedars of Lebanon State Park before the BIG [800+ trailers!!] Airstream International Rally just down the road... and it was cool to meet people from all of the country who love old campers as much as we do [maybe more?!?]
I treated myself to a facial one afternoon and gotta say Miranda does such a great job helping me relax and rejuvenate!
Love how it changes almost weekly...
We made a quick trip to Nashville for Craig's mother to go to an appointment - it was good to have time to visit together - and we enjoyed time with friends playing Top Golf [but y'all know I can be about the most non-competitive person on earth... so it's more about the VISITING than the golf for me...
And we spent the weekend before Craig's fishing trip exploring the area around Lake Erie together... We started with a late lunch in 'Little Italy' - downtown Cleveland [ YUM] then traveled along the shore up to Maumee Bay State Park.
It was a relaxing but FULL [y'all know us - we pack it in!] weekend...
I'll share more soon...
