Annie Lee the Argosy Update No. 036

Gulf State Park [May 2021]

Just Us – back to Gulf Shores due to a board meeting I needed to attend…

Craig was able to get us a site right on the canal and we LOVED our stay despite the CrAzY blowing wind the entire time were there.

We ate good food [Docs, Tacky Jacks {Orange Beach} and Buzz Catz are our favorites]...
It was double red flags at the gulf and with 18 - 20 + mph winds and the sand pelting like a, well, a sand blaster, kept us off the beach…

but we still had a good relaxing trip.

We swam in the pool, and enjoyed riding our scoots over 40 miles on the trails!!
Seriously - we saw parts of the State Park that we didn't even know existed.
And it's beautiful, y'all.

And yes! We saw a gator or two!

[Still loving my little super-zoom camera!!!]

My take: We LOVE Gulf State Park and

will always welcome the opportunity to stay there!

Gunter Hill

Montgomery, AL

I needed to drop something off in Montgomery on the way home,

so we stayed overnight at Gunter Hill once again –

and I’ve got to say, it’s becoming a favorite little stop over place…

Look how our campsite seemed so secluded

even though there were lots of people in the campground.

[It was HUGE - we could've  put three campers on this spot!]

This was a great little overnight that helped break the trip up

and got me into town in just a few minutes the next morning…

We know we'll be back as a stop-over spot in the future!
