Tom Sawyer RV Park [June 2021]
How fun is this? Craig read about this little park in the flood-zone of the Mississippi and knew we just had to stay here as a stop-over on the way to Hot Springs…
Seriously in the flood zone- as in: even their bath house was on wheels
for easy evacuation, if needed.
We stayed on the water view side so there were no trees for shade,
but it was tolerable for an overnight stay…
and we sure
enjoyed seeing the Memphis sky-line as the barges
were continuously flowing up
and down river.
Located
just over the Mississippi River in West Memphis Arkansas, it would be a quick
commute into town if you wanted to hang out in Memphis for a day or two [or
three!]
There’s one little problem right now – the I-40 bridge closed for repair, so all the traffic is pushed onto the smaller I-55 bridge – but we made it!
LOL
And if we are ever in that direction again, we’d surely stay there.
Sites off the water are in a wooded area… Bath houses were clean… good internet.
And we found a sweet little breakfast pace downtown too!
