Annie Lee the Argosy - Update No. 014

Pine Mountain, Georgia
It's really a lovely area - with small towns
[Pine Mountain, Warm Springs, Hamilton, etc]
and adorable shops to browse through if you feel so inclined
[we only stepped in to get our essential needs - like firewood for the campfire - ha.]
We especially love the FD Roosevelt State Park in the area -  we camped there MANY years ago when we enjoyed a few days at Callaway Gardens when the kids were younger.
Alas, we are getting braver -
We ate INSIDE a restaurant one morning for breakfast -
We felt safe enough becasue there was only one other table with people and they were at the opposite end of the room from us -
[We've been eating take-out for a while now...]
We remembered this place from 25 years ago - and loved it's gorgeous views...
But y'all know that most recently we were supposed to be in Elkmont in the Great Smokey Mountains, and I know most of you are tired of my whining about how this campground has not re-opened and our reservations were cancelled... we were definitely disappointed since these reservations are so difficult to get and we'd finally snagged one last November after years of trying...
Since we'd already planned to camp, we joined friends at a vintage event down in Pine Mountain. We've found that camping is a great way to visit together outside and still maintain social distancing while enjoying a different location
[sometimes I just need to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE]
and God's great outdoors!
Despite the heat it was a lot of fun!
And surprisingly, it cooled off enough in the evenings to enjoy visiting around a campfire -
Although...
 - we forgot the marshmallow sticks so my s'more was made in the microwave -
but enjoyed by the fire!
We did not participate in the vintage camper open house -
but here's a little peek at our kitchen area with the new spice rack / shelf
[ordered from Bed Bath and Beyond]
Everything else is original except for the wall paper
we added as a 'backsplash' contrast color...
Love that we have the stove cover in place!
[And you can't see it in this photo -
but I also LOVE having the vent hood overhead -]
I wanted a 'shelf' for some photos and this spice rack works great!
[And I can change it all out easily!]
We have a couple of photos of us camping as kids, as well as a vintage [Huntsville] space  postcard and a photo of the Smokey Bear hot air balloon...
Yay - another area in #AnnieLeetheArgosy complete!
