This is a long post - so I've tried to break it up in segments - ha -
Hold on tight - let's go!
Region 6 Rally
they are THE BEST.
They love people and suffice it to say
THEY LOVE AIRSTREAMS
#IYKYK

We had a wonderful week celebrating the 70th anniversary of the airstream club with great meals, entertainment each night, and lots and lots of focus on the history of Wally Byum's caravan travels around the world - seriously - in airstreams.
SO COOL.
Side Note: they secured enough of those popcorn buckets to have these adorable decorations on each table! [It's the little things - ]
We had over 200 rigs join us at The Ridge
and a couple of other campgrounds -
[I love this drone-shot someone shared with us!]
now we know why we have friends in big rigs return there year after year!
I was SO HAPPY we were able to go up a day early and have the time to ride our bikes on the LAST vehicle free day of the season!
It's something we've wanted to do for a while...
and omgoodness - we LOVED IT.
There were hundreds of bikes out there... but spread out enough that it really wasn't too crowded to ride... [and y'all know we love our lectric bikes -]
It was just peaceful and enjoyable!
And no - we didn't see any 'wildlife'
although we talked to some who said they did...
maybe next time...
Alabama Friends
AND OTHERS -
because once you start hanging out with this group called The Airstream Club you'll find you have friends from all over the nation [and Canada - wink]
And it was SO GOOD to have a little un-rushed time
to just visit with all our different 'pockets' of friends!
We enjoyed some meals together!
[Apple Barn never disappoints!]
And we love being with our rook-playing friends!
We might be timid with our bids,
but we have fun!
And David Gulley, our Region 6 President wanted to do
the installation for our Alabama Airstream Club officers -
So we made the time to do that
after our Alabama Luncheon one afternoon -
VAC Pancake Breakfast
THAT was a crazy busy day as we had our VAC Sponsored breakfast that morning... then Region 6 Board Meeting... then Alabama Club Meeting.. then Closing Ceremony, etc.
But it was good - ALL GOOD.
LOL
Vintage Airstream Club
so we asked VAC members throughout the region to help us cook pancakes and sausage for 400+ people... and they did a great job!
The guys gathered and cooked the sausage the day before [yay!]
And the gals gathered before sunrise the next day to be the mixologists for all that pancake batter. We didn't anticipate the little BLIP of a thunderstorm that would sit on top of us the entire time we were cooking - HA.
Everyone was wonderful!
And I know I'm biased, but I really do think
the Region 6 VAC members are the greatest!!
It was such a good rally week!
Mostly due to this guy and his EXCELLENT team.
The Gulley's have a remarkable way of making everyone feel loved and important and we just appreciate them for all they do!
[Say a little prayer for him right now - God knows the need.]
So yes - it was a wonderful week -
Once again we had to get up early for the trek home...
but WOW - God showed us His masterpiece as we loaded up and headed out -
The Ridge Outdoor Resort -?
WE'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK.
